JHBRIDGE operates primarily in Massachusetts and provides services in New York, Florida, Texas, California, and remote services nationwide. We are committed to complying with federal, state, and local laws applicable to our business, including: consumer protection laws and business regulations; data protection and privacy laws, including Massachusetts data security regulations (201 CMR 17.00), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other state privacy laws; employment and labor laws governing our employees and contractors; anti-discrimination laws and accessibility requirements; contractual and commercial laws governing service agreements; and tax and financial reporting obligations.

While we strive to maintain compliance-aware practices, JHBRIDGE is not a law firm, healthcare provider, or government agency, and does not provide legal, medical, immigration, or professional advice. Clients should consult qualified professionals for advice specific to their circumstances.

3. Confidentiality and Data Protection Practices

Confidentiality is a core principle of our business. JHBRIDGE handles sensitive client documents, including legal records, medical reports, immigration materials, financial documents, and personal information. We are committed to protecting the confidentiality and security of all client materials.

Our confidentiality and data protection practices include: limiting access to client documents to authorized personnel who need access to provide services; requiring employees, contractors, translators, and interpreters to maintain confidentiality and sign non-disclosure agreements where appropriate; implementing secure transmission and storage protocols, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and secure cloud infrastructure; conducting regular security assessments and updates to address emerging threats; and establishing document retention and deletion policies to minimize unnecessary data storage.

4. Document Integrity and Accuracy

JHBRIDGE is committed to providing accurate, complete, and faithful translations and interpretations. We recognize that errors, omissions, or inaccuracies can have serious consequences for clients, particularly in legal, medical, immigration, and business contexts.

To maintain document integrity and accuracy, we: assign projects to qualified linguists with appropriate language skills, subject matter expertise, and professional experience; implement quality assurance processes, including proofreading, review, and terminology consistency checks where applicable; provide translators and interpreters with clear instructions, reference materials, and client-specific terminology when available; encourage clients to provide context, clarify ambiguities, and review delivered work promptly; and offer revisions when the original specifications were not met or errors are identified.

Clients are responsible for providing complete, readable, and accurate source documents and for reviewing translated documents to ensure they meet their needs. JHBRIDGE does not verify the truth, legality, validity, or enforceability of the original documents or their contents.

5. USCIS-Style Translation Support and Certification

JHBRIDGE may provide certified translation support for immigration-related documents, including translations intended for submission to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), courts, schools, employers, or other institutions. Certified translations typically include a signed statement by the translator or translation company attesting to the accuracy and completeness of the translation.

Important clarifications regarding certified translations: JHBRIDGE is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by USCIS or any government agency; certified translations are not official government documents or government certifications; acceptance of translated documents is determined by the receiving agency or institution, and JHBRIDGE cannot guarantee acceptance; clients are responsible for confirming current document requirements with the receiving agency before submitting translations; and JHBRIDGE does not provide legal, immigration, or professional advice regarding document submissions or application processes.

JHBRIDGE provides translation services in support of client needs but does not represent clients before government agencies or provide legal representation.

6. Legal and Medical Document Sensitivity

JHBRIDGE regularly handles legal and medical documents that require specialized knowledge, terminology, and sensitivity. We recognize the critical nature of these materials and the potential impact of translation quality on legal rights, medical care, and personal well-being.

For legal documents, including contracts, court filings, immigration applications, affidavits, and powers of attorney, we assign projects to linguists with legal translation experience and subject matter knowledge. We do not provide legal advice, verify the legal validity of documents, or represent clients in legal proceedings.

For medical documents, including medical records, prescriptions, lab reports, and treatment plans, we assign projects to linguists with medical translation experience and appropriate terminology knowledge. We do not provide medical advice, diagnose conditions, or interpret medical information for treatment purposes.

Clients should consult qualified legal or medical professionals for advice specific to their circumstances.

7. Responsible Data Handling and Security Practices

JHBRIDGE is committed to responsible data handling practices that protect client information and minimize unnecessary data collection, storage, and sharing. Our data handling practices include: collecting only the information necessary to provide services and manage accounts; using secure transmission and storage methods to protect data in transit and at rest; limiting data access to authorized personnel who need access to perform services; retaining data only as long as necessary for service delivery, billing, legal compliance, and operational needs; deleting or anonymizing data after applicable retention periods, unless longer retention is required by law or client agreement; and responding promptly to data security incidents and notifying affected clients in accordance with applicable law.

We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect client data, including encryption, access controls, authentication, security monitoring, and regular updates. However, no system is entirely immune to unauthorized access or data breaches. JHBRIDGE cannot guarantee absolute security but commits to maintaining reasonable safeguards and responding promptly to security incidents.

8. Compliance-Aware Approach to Industry Standards

JHBRIDGE strives to align with professional standards and best practices in the translation and interpretation industry, including standards for quality, confidentiality, accuracy, and professional conduct. We monitor industry developments, participate in professional communities, and invest in ongoing training and education for our team.

While we work to meet high professional standards, JHBRIDGE does not claim official certification or accreditation under ISO 9001, ISO 17100, HIPAA Business Associate, GDPR representative, or other formal compliance frameworks unless we have undergone official certification or assessment. We are transparent about our practices and do not misrepresent our compliance status or capabilities.

9. No False Compliance Claims or Fake Certifications

JHBRIDGE is committed to honesty and transparency in all communications and does not make false or misleading claims regarding certifications, accreditations, endorsements, or compliance status. Specifically: we do not claim ISO certification unless we have been formally assessed and certified by an accredited certification body; we do not claim HIPAA Business Associate status or HIPAA compliance unless we have entered into appropriate Business Associate Agreements and implemented required safeguards; we do not claim GDPR Representative status or GDPR certification unless we have appointed representatives and implemented required compliance measures; and we do not claim endorsement, affiliation, or approval by government agencies such as USCIS, courts, or regulatory bodies unless such relationships exist.

Clients should be cautious of translation providers making unsubstantiated compliance claims. JHBRIDGE is committed to providing honest information about our practices, capabilities, and limitations.

10. Massachusetts Data Security Compliance

JHBRIDGE is based in Massachusetts and is committed to complying with Massachusetts data security regulations, including 201 CMR 17.00, which requires businesses to implement comprehensive written information security programs (WISP) to protect personal information of Massachusetts residents.

Our data security practices include: designating a responsible individual to oversee information security; conducting regular risk assessments to identify security vulnerabilities; implementing technical safeguards, including encryption, access controls, and secure authentication; training employees and contractors on security practices and confidentiality obligations; establishing policies for secure disposal of documents and data; monitoring systems for unauthorized access and security incidents; and updating security measures regularly to address emerging threats.

11. Payment and Financial Compliance

JHBRIDGE complies with applicable laws governing payment processing, billing, and financial record-keeping. Payment information is processed through third-party payment processors that maintain industry-standard security practices, including PCI DSS compliance where applicable.

We maintain accurate billing records, provide clear pricing information, and honor agreed payment terms. We comply with tax reporting obligations and maintain financial records as required by law.

12. Non-Discrimination and Equal Access
